The Japan America Society of North Carolina, JASNC, is a nonprofit organization for individuals and corporations interested in Japan and US-Japan relations. Our membership strives to  promote greater understanding through cultural events, social activities, business seminars, and educational programs across North Carolina.

News from JASNC!

  • Consulate of Japan in Atlanta will be in Greensboro on March 13 (Thurs) to provide Consular Service. ノースカロライナ州グリーンズボロで領事出張サービスを実施いたします。完全予約制となりますので、ご利用される方は、１月３１日（金）までに電子メールまたは 電話にてご予約ください。 (More details here.) 

  • ​Sunday, April 6 - Baseball Outing: Durham Bulls vs. Sugar Land Space Cowboys. Durham Bulls Athletic Park, Durham. (Details coming.)

  • Sunday, March 30 - Kitsuke Club, Raleigh. Come and learn how to properly wear traditional kimono. All are welcome. (Click here to register.)

  • Saturday, March 29 - Spring Festival 春祭り, Charlotte. Co-sponsored by The Japanese Cultural Association of the Carolinas (JCAC) and JASNC. (Click here to register.)

  • Sunday, Mar. 23 - Join us for an exclusive preview of Kodo One Earth's dress rehearsal (3:30 PM), followed by a Meet & Greet with the performers at Duke University's Page Auditorium.   • Friday, Feb. 28 - Ouchigohan "Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki", with guest chef from Otafuku. Family-friendly online cooking program hosted by JASNC. (Click here for details.)

  • Thursday, Jan. 23 - David Robinson, Honorary Consul of Japan to NC and JASNC Chairman of the Board appears on NPR program titled "How North Carolina became Japan's favorite state." (Listen to the program here.)
